There is a blessing when God says NO! Think back over the things we’ve thought we needed, wanted and had to have but God said no. In the moment you feel disappointed and let down maybe even angry but when you look back and see what He’s given you because you let go of that thing that wasn’t intended for you, you oughta find that “NO” worthy of all the praise in the world. He is the author and the finisher and we MUST let Him work.
So loved…the greatest degree24
The world…the greatest company
That He gave…the greatest act
His only begotten Son…the greatest gift
That whoever…the greatest opportunity
Believes…the greatest simplicity
In Him…the greatest attraction
Should not perish…the greatest promise
But…the greatest difference
Have…the greatest certainty
Everlasting life…the greatest possession.”
Understand that the devil is ALWAYS busy. Make no mistake about that. There are always people in our lives who leave themselves opened to being used by the enemy, but we have the ultimate power. We rest on the side of God and He will always use the very thing we think will destroy us to bless and elevate us. We have to hold on and trust Him. Do not panic when the enemy attacks rather just the opposite. Relax and let God have his way. He sets out to devastate and destroy us but he is powerless to do so unless we allow him to. Bless the name of the Lord. Plead the blood of Jesus and Praise God through your circumstances. Don’t lay down in defeat but fall on your face in praise and watch God turn it around! You can’t make me doubt Him but I also can’t make you trust Him. What do you have to lose?
How desperately do you want to live and walk in God’s will for your life? I’ve been at this crossroads so many times where I’ve seen that “Good Thing” (or something I perceived to be a good thing) and immediately lost sightof where my hope should remain, which is in God and not the things (or people) I think I need/want. Even when God shows us things in our spirits, it’s imperative that we not see the reward and ignore the calling to the work that needs to be done. That is where we as Christians continue to fail. God is showing us a better life with Him, and we get so distracted by the beauty of the things, we don’t hear (or we ignore) that still small voice letting us know that there is work to be done. We must stand up and be about our Father’s business FIRST and then we shall be rewarded. Jesus told his disciples that “Great is the reward but the workers are few.” (Matt. 9:37) and the same is true even to this day. We want the reward with out the work. I am no longer chasing pavements. I am suiting up in the Armor of God and getting down in the trenches. If you want your reward. PROVE IT!!!
